Milli Firmware Update on Integrated Devices

The Milli modules are typically shipped with known good firmware images.  However, due to discovery of errors, or due to new releases of firmware that include features desired by the partner, it may be necessary to upgrade those images. The procedure outlined is intended for updating firmware on Milli modules that are integrated into end devices when hardwired to the device.  This can be done during manufacturing, in the warehouse or even in the field as long as the configuration header pins are accessible as described here.

Milli Configuration Personalization on Integrated Devices

The Milli modules are shipped in a generic, non-customized state.  When placed in a partner device, they need to be configured to work with an application specific profile, and personalized for customer use.  This procedure describes how to perform this customization/personalization with a hardwired connection.
